AWANA

AWANA standards for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (based on 2 Timothy 2:15). It meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. during the school year. We have been offering AWANA since 2001. It is a program for children ages 3 years - 6th grade in three different groups: Cubbies (3-5 years); Sparkies (1st-2nd grade) and T 'n T (Truth and Training) grades 3-6. Each group participates in its own three activities which are age appropriate: a time of worship called Council Time consisting of praying for their requests, songs, and a Bible lesson; games around the AWANA circle; and, Handbook Time in which they learn Bible verses and facts towards earning awards.

Each year several AWANA kids participate in the AWANA Games and Bible Quizzing. These are competitions against other churches with AWANA programs in the area.
